A weekend isnt enough to do it justice. Lets plan on next easter again. But be prepare for the cost. If you want travel overnight and want a bed its VERY expensive.

When is it Easter break next year?? May be worth putting up the date now and getting some pricing and info up just to let people know now.

Of course this requires commitment

Well in context I took myself, wife, 2 kids and car. We left the Thursday night and came back the Monday night and we paid for a sleeper for 4. All up I think the Spirit of Tasmania side of things cost us around $1300. The rest of the trip with eating out each night x 4 people and accomodation x 4 people cost around $2500.

If you can take the Thursday and Monday off its a lot cheaper (less that half the price) as you dont pay for a sleeper and they do discounts on those days.

Apart from that its an awesome time. Kids still havent stopped telling people their stories and they were really dissappointed we didnt go this year.

Kall, wog easter is one week after.

Cheers

Andrew

I can vouch that the Tassie trip was great!

Good scenery, roads, food, wine & company!  A great time was had by all I believe (even by my son who would not admit it in public! )

It would be good to seek expressions of interest and fix a date but as Andrew mentioned people need to be aware from the outset the cost(s) involved as although it sounds a fabulous idea (which it was & will be again) it is not a cheap exercise.

Having said this “Bring it on!” I'm sure Lorraine can do some damage at The Salamanca Market this time!

Andrew, where are the videos from when you guys went last time?

Andy they took some pretty cool videos of some awesome drive, did some scenic stuff and went to the brewery place.
